British rock legends Jethro Tull will play in concert in the University of Iceland Cinema (Háskólabíó) in Reykjavík on September 11 this year. It is the only small-scale concert the band has announced this year.
According to the organizers of the concert, it was the initiative of Jethro Tull’s front man, Ian Anderson, who has held a growing interest in Iceland in recent years, Morgunbladid reports.
Anderson will travel to Iceland at his own expense and the price of tickets for the concert will be moderate. The band is also considering donating part of the profits to the victims of the economic crisis in Iceland.
